C5 residence is a minimal residence for a young couple located in Penang, Malaysia. The house is designed with prominence of whiteness and natural light, the interiors are almost all white at their core apart from shades of grey – to enhance the natural light pours through the limited windows to achieve the calm and even outcome.

The proposal consists of the demolition of the original brick walls, to enable better interaction between spaces through a more coherent open-plan living arrangement, expanding the passage of natural light to the rear part of the house. Delicate textiles and décor by the homeowner added in the necessary notes of life and style, completing it as a place for the pair to call it home.
