Tangga

Tangga pay homage to Penang’s unique architectural style in the Georgetown UNESCO heritage site consisting of three different pieces, Tangga armchair, Tangga side table and Tangga floor lamp. Tangga takes cues from the Art Deco design language, capturing impressions and solidifying them in different matter and form. Weaving together the essence of symmetry, linear and monolithic quality of the architectural features in the city, Tangga can be interpreted as a product of our instinctive nature. Made of spray-painted lauan plywood and assembled with intersecting mortise-and-tenon wood techniques, Tangga stands steadily enormous without using any adhesives or nails.
