Tip Sip is built into an existing double-volume space beneath a heritage building, where exposed I-beams and the open structural shell form the foundation of the interior. The openness stays, blurring street and shelter and easing the move from casual frontage into a more enclosed atmosphere.
Lauan plywood runs through built-in seating, platforms, shelving and furniture, warming the raw structure with a tactile layer. Translucent and reflective surfaces soften and extend the volume, while an integrated lighting system carries the room from a gentle daytime mood into an immersive red glow at night.
The result is industrial yet intimate, where structure, material and atmosphere read as one.
